You’re not the only one in the world with a headache you know... Why don’t you get out your head and see? ..'See?!' I said Who was in my head 'You know where I’d rather be...' 'Out of this mind, out somewhere Swimming in some cool soothing sea. But instead, I’m in my bed Thinking, what a corker... Oh poor little me, ow eee’. ...Well, if you did get yourself out And have a walk about You’ll see it’s not only you with the pangs... 'Oh?' No, it could be worse, You could be the universe, Still suffering from the biggest of bangs.

Description

A poem I wrote to try and ease or distract from a deeply loyal and stubborn headache...featuring a bit of sarcastic commentary around the difficulty in giving yourself a bit of compassion and grace with life's aches and pains... and when big picture perspective taking may (or may not?) go a bit too far.
